Welcome to Charlotte Munning Raku
The Japanese word RAKU, roughly translated means contentment, enjoyment and pleasure. Raku is a 13 century firing process that combines the earth, wind and fire. My focus is on the hand built or thrown clay form and is raku fired, using my original copper glaze.The color and form merge to complete a dynamic statement in clay. My work is featured on the cover of Sunshine Artist Magazine, October 2014.
